The viking aesthetic makes me wonder, could there be neo-viking ships with the wooden planks replaced with metal, and the cloth sails replaced with solar cells? Maybe the shields on the sides being of the austrian experimental kind ( www.google.com/amp/s/www.popul…)? With such armor they’d have good cover to shoot behind in such a light-frame ship.
